Seeking Rebirth is one of Luca's first short films. He met artist Antonio Del Prete at age 16 and was soon hired to document the creation of Antonio's newest piece. Over the course of nearly six months, Luca shot with Antonio after school, handling the shooting, editing, and directing of the film to help capture Antonio's artistic process.
The documentary received a strong reception, premiering at the Oscar-qualifying festival LA Shorts. Following its release, the film caught the attention of the Vatican, leading to Antonio receiving an invitation to meet Pope Francis. During their discussion, the Pope expressed interest in the piece and even blessed the images Luca took of the sculpture.
